Story

I've spent most of the last year volunteering in Eastern Ukraine, predominantly evacuating people from frontline villages and delivering aid. Working alongside local Ukranians we have also started a rebuild project as well as recently building a learning community centre for children in Kramatorsk, where most of the children haven't been to a school for nearly 4 years due to COVID and then the Russian invasion.
Varya (a local architect) and myself have just started a rebuild project and have already managed to fix up 8 homes with new windows & fixed roofs. Nearly all the homes in these small remote villages have been damaged or totally destroyed though families are starting to return to these communities since the Russian army have been pushed back and electricity is being reconnected. It's been a struggle begging & borrowing tools, materials & vehicles to do this work and that's why I'm trying to raise some funds to purchase tools , materials and a work Van.
I have funded all my voluntary work with my own money and have now ran out of funds to continue without some help.
The children's centre in Kramatorsk which we named "Terykon" also needs the basement renovated so it can become a comfortable bomb shelter where the children can carry on their activities when the air raid alarms are activated which is on average 10 times a day in Kramatorsk.
Any amount of donations would be greatly appreciated and Ive seen what a difference small contributions can make directly on individuals & families when you have direct access to these communities that have been effected the hardest by the horrendous war in Ukraine.
Please contact me if you have any questions or queries about this work.
Thank you so much if you can help 🇺🇦
