I've raised £1000 to Support Olivia and her family

As you guys are aware Team Squidgers haven’t been in the pool of late. Now, whilst we aren’t in the pool at the moment we all know the strength, determination and support we have in abundance amongst our Squidgers folk. Once you become part of the Squidgers family you are one of us forever. We ALWAYS have each other’s back!
Squidgers folk, we need you guys to be your fabulous selves. One our our lovely Squidgers families is going through utter heart break. The very lovely Olivia who I had the pleasure of teaching from being a baby ,and her family have recently received the news every parent dreads. Olivia has been diagnosed with leukaemia , understandably her family are devastated. Olivia is 4 years old . Nobody wants to hear those words , having to see your little one go through a diagnosis like that is horrendous. Olivia and her family have embarked on a journey nobody wants to take , treatment has began and they have a tough couple of years ahead.
I can’t even begin to imagine how receiving news like that changes life as you know it in seconds . Olivia was due to start school in September , their world has been flipped upside down. Instead of shopping for school uniform and preparing for the adventure of school they are attending hospital appointments, enduring traumatic treatment and facing daily battles of juggling parenting, work, life and heartbreak.
Olivia and her family are loving, strong , and determined . They will get through this but this is where I ask for your help. The trauma of treatment is hard enough. Add to that trying to stay strong for each other , manage life is tough for all involved. Attending treatment , car park costs, missing work etc all puts additional strain on an already very difficult situation. I approached Olivia’s mum and asked if we could help in anyway. I offered to do some fundraising as I know there is so much it could help with.
Please help us raise some pennies to pass on to Olivia and her family. Anything raised will go to supporting them all over the next few years, whatever you can spare would be very much appreciated.
We will continue to update you on Olivia’s journey, we are sending all the love and support for a speedy recovery to Olivia and her family.
Thank you as always for your awesomeness and support ❤️
