Norman Beddington helped many local people during his lifetime ranging from highlighting climate change and sustainability to a supporter and helper at the Hornsey Food Bank. He was ahead of his time in many ways. Norman was also a keen member of the Hornsey Pétanque Club that plays in Hornsey’s Priory Park. The £1,500 raised will pay for an in-memoriam bench that will be placed alongside the petanque courts in Priory Park where Norman played. A huge vote of thanks to all who contributed towards a fitting tribute for a great and generous man.

Hi everyone, Everything was going swimmingly in the early days but donations have dried up at the half-way point. Currently we stand at £813 that is 54% of the £1,500 we need to purchase Norman's memorial bench from Haringey Council. Hi Everyone, We're going great guns here funding that memorial bench for Norman. Almost half way to our target in less than a week is some progress!! Huge thanks to everyone that's donated for Norman so far. We (Hornsey Petanque Club) went to the AGM of the Friends of Priory Park this morning and found yet another one of Norman's amazing circle of friends who I hope will be joining us shortly in our crowd funding venture.
