A new, dynamic strings collective of ecologically-minded musicians based in Bristol. Read about our first performance on 12th June .

By sharing our passion for music and nature in performance, we hope to raise awareness of the climate and ecological crisis. It is easy to theme a concert about nature, but we are determined to find ways for music lovers to connect with 'boots on the ground' work in the environmental crisis, globally.

🌱 The name, Pernambuco is the tree our bows are made from; Brazil’s 'pau-brasil', which is facing extinction and desperately needs our help. It is a critical time as the protection of this tree increases and bow-makers are being arrested for exporting it.

We will continue to perform classical and new compositions, maintaining a diverse and cross-cultural element. We have lots of ideas, we just need the funds!

We are a fully professional outfit, although many of us are giving pro bono time to get going. We are working to support Trees of Music, who have planted 50,000 pernambuco trees with vulnerable communities in Brazil to educate, reforest and regenerate. 👉 www.treesofmusic.org
