We want to let people know about the re-establishing, and the re-imagining, of the Penrhys Pilgrimage Way – a fascinating and historic route from Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff which was once one of the most important pilgrimage routes in Wales.
The Way follows Public Rights of Way and even during lockdown people have been following sections of it. The project is rich in volunteers and links with the local communities. But the charity lacks the ready cash to do the small things that the committee knows will make a big difference.
Our aims are to help raise awareness of the walk, and to raise money to support some wonderful wellbeing and educational projects run by local communities along the route.
We have some wonderful storytellers to help us.
Our Zoom event features some of the talented storytellers based in South Wales. They will entertain you with evocative tales drawn from the Fairy, Folk and Faith traditions of this part of the world.
We will be telling you about the Penrhys Pilgrimage Way too.
We are looking forward to a wonderful mid-summer evening, and to bringing a little of the festival spirit into our homes and our community. Everyone is welcome!
Please do tell all your networks about us and about our storytelling fundraiser.

5 years agoThank you everyone for your wonderful support. We have been bowled over by your generosity and enthusiasm. We hope to see many new faces on the Penrhys Pilgrimage Way, when this virus is properly controlled and it is safe to do so. In the meantime we will continue to think up innovative ways to develop publicise and celebrate the route.

5 years agoA beautiful evening. 117 households joined us on Zoom for a storytelling journey along the Penrhys Pilgrimage way. So many of us are inspired to walk it's length. We are looking forward to the day when that can happen again, and now have new yet familiar faces to watch out for along it's route.

All through my career as a charity finance professional I seen the positive differences people can make. I am helping to raise vital funds, to support Helen and her group of volunteers to help many others discover this wonderful and often overlooked 21 mile medieval pilgrimage.
