Penarth Clifftop Artists Open Air Exhibition 4 – 14 July 2024 Crowd Funding URGENT Appeal
Please help support the Penarth Clifftop Artists Open Air Art Exhibition for a chance to WIN an original Penarth themed painting by one of the Clifftop Artists.
The Penarth Cliff Top Artists have been exhibiting along the sea front of Penarth for over 50 years, with 1000s of visitors every year. As artists we all volunteer our time before and during this event to make it happen. The Vale of Glamorgan Council have given us the opportunity to set up the event on their Parks and open spaces land for free. We are very grateful to Willmore’s 1938 for their previous and ongoing sponsorship, but we are still in need of financial support to enable this to go ahead. This Crowd Funding request is to help support a historic, unique open air art exhibition to go ahead again this summer 2024.
We are seeking support from those who have enjoyed the event over the years and are pursuing the Crowd Funding support, to make up the deficit of £300. This will contribute to the cost of the Heras fencing infrastructure required for the event to be able to go ahead.
We are asking for a minimum of £2.00 donation from as many of our friends, supporters, and regular exhibition visitors as possible. All doners we be entered into a prize draw to WIN an original Penarth themed painting by a member of the Clifftop Artists group. The lucky winner will be drawn on the last day of the exhibition fortnight on Sunday 14 July.
Whether you feel you can donate or not, we would be very grateful if you would share this appeal. It is for this year’s event. We are hoping we can self-fund in future but are always grateful for any support.
We give our time freely and contribute artists rental fees that in part support the event. Up until this year we have received public grant funding for this event from Penarth Town Council as part of the Penarth Festival which ended following COVID. The Vale of Glamorgan Council has supported the event through the Tourism Events and Arts Development Service Departments for the past two years. Unfortunately, all external funding is unavailable for this summer event, but the Vale are again supporting us by kindly allowing the event to go ahead on their park and public open space land.
We hope you will be able to support this local historic summer painting exhibition and thank you in advance for taking time to contribute to our Crowd Funding request to make it happen. The Clifftop artists look forward to welcoming you all to their exhibition on Cliff Walk Penarth this summer.
