Story
Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t.
We are raising £9,850 to help build Pektus, a platform designed to connect underserved athletes with sponsorship opportunities and the support they need to thrive in sport.
As a rugby player, UX professional, and MBA candidate, Juvy (founder) saw how talented athletes often struggle to access opportunities because they lack visibility, networks, or financial support.
Johnny (co-founder) is a national athlete who has witnessed talented teammates miss competitions and development opportunities because financial barriers stood in their way.
Pektus has already been developed into a working prototype and is being explored through academic research into sustainable sponsorship models for grassroots athletes.
Talent should never be limited by access. That's why we're taking on 300 Miles for Pektus.
Over the coming months, we’ll collectively run, walk, and move 300 miles to raise support for the next stage of Pektus.
How your support will help:
📚 Athlete Protection & Governance Expertise - £7,100
Supporting specialist education in athlete rights, sponsorship agreements, governance, safeguarding and sports regulation to ensure Pektus is built responsibly and sustainably.
🚀 Pektus Pilot Development - £1,500
Supporting platform design, testing, website hosting, software subscriptions, and pilot operations.
🌍 Events & Partnerships - £1,250
Supporting attendance at opportunities such as the UK Startup Awards Regional Finals, Ideas Fest, and other partnership-building events that can help accelerate Pektus.
Beyond our target
Any funds raised beyond our £9,850 goal will first help offset transaction-related fundraising costs and then be directed towards future athlete support initiatives through the Pektus platform.
Whether you donate, share our campaign, or introduce us to potential partners, thank you for helping us create more opportunities in sport.
Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't. Together, we can change that.
