I've raised £10000 to go to solicitor costs (we have been told this could be a substantial amount) then a specialised programme of physiotherapy and equipment.

Pedro was an incredibly active person. He loves the outdoors, he loves camping, cycling, kayaking, motorcycles, travelling, football, rocking out, and above all, being with people. Pedro is kind to everyone, he is everybodys friend and embraces people in a way that makes you want to keep him in your life forever. Just one month ago, he decided to take another great leap and proposed to his now fiancé Beata. Excited about the new journey they moved in together, started planning, and started celebrating their amazing news with friends. Unfortunately, just 3 weeks after their engagement, in the midst of celebrations, Pedro and Beata's journey took a turn that neither of them were expecting.
Pedro was driving from work on his much loved Suzuki motorcycle when a van driving on the wrong side of the road hit him head on. He was airlifted to Cambridge Hospital. Pedro suffered a spinal cord injury that broke his spine. He was put in intensive care and underwent intense surgery shortly after the accident. As wonderful as the team of doctors supporting Pedro have been and in spite of the success of the surgery, Pedro has been left paralised from the chest down. Doctors have told us that Pedro might never walk again, which, for such young, active man has weighed heavily on the hearts of everyone who loves Pedro.
Pedro and Beata are now at the beginning of yet another new journey and have so far been tackling this heartbreaking news with all the love, positivity, and resilience we've known them to share in their lives together.
As well as solicitor and physio costs
there are also a number of small costs building up that may become a concern with neither of them currently working such as;
- travel costs to and from hospital
- car parking at hospital
- food costs when visiting
We would appreciate absolutely anything that anyone can give or if you are not in a position to contribute then please share this page.
