Story

Support Pearl and Her Girls Nay, Xiomara and Blue: A Community United by Love and Football

Pearl is one of those people who makes a difference without even realizing it. She’s a devoted single mum to three beautiful daughters, a passionate supporter of our footballing community, and a dedicated teaching assistant at a special needs school. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support have touched so many lives—now it’s our turn to support her.

Recently, Pearl received the heartbreaking news that she has incurable cancer. As she prepares to start treatment, she will be unable to continue working—a reality that adds immense financial strain to an already difficult journey. We’re coming together as a community to rally around Pearl and her three girls Nay, Xiomara and Blue, to ease the burden and provide some peace of mind during this unimaginably tough time.

Our Goal

We are hoping to raise funds to:

Support Pearl’s three daughters (Nay, Xiomara and Blue) as they navigate life without their mum’s income.

Establish trust funds to help secure the girls’ futures.

Ensure the girls continue their footballing journey whether that continues at Abingdon United, Oxford City and Barton or within another local club- we want to ensure they can play a game that brings them so much joy and stability.

Provide vital support for Pearl’s eldest daughter, who has a learning disability and requires 24-hour care.

The 24-Hour Football Match

To show just how loved Pearl and her girls are, our footballing community as well as support from the girls schools, is organizing a 24-hour football match. Teams, players, and supporters from across the area will come together, playing through the day and night to raise awareness and crucial funds. Football has always been a source of joy and togetherness for Pearl and her 2 youngest daughters Xiomara and Blue - this event will reflect that same spirit of unity, love, and resilience.

Pearl has given so much to her family, her work, and our footballing community. Now, we want to give something back. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping Pearl find comfort in knowing her girls will be supported not only now but also in their future.

Thank you for standing with Pearl and her family. Let’s show them that no one fights alone.
