Andrew was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus witch is managed by a vp shunt, just before Christmas 2016 he started to show signs of a shunt problem, we took him to Southampton general hospital where they externalised his shunt tubing and a couple of days they attempted an ETV which is a hole through his skull so they can make an opening somewhere in the brain to let the csf flow naturally to get him shunt free, he spent over 2 weeks in hospital before he was allowed home. We got Andrew home which was amazing but he was still suffering quite bad headaches and dizzy spells which we could manage with normal pain relief but on Thursday night and was in excruciating pain and nothing was helping, so Friday morning I had to dial 999 and when the paramedic came he took a small seizure so was rushed to Salisbury district hospital. They were going to ct scan him when he then took a big seizure which seem to last forever and it was the most horrific thing his dad, brother and myself have ever witnessed, he had to be intubated then blue lighted to Southampton general hospital where there was a team of neuro surgeons waiting at the door for him. They took him into theatre and released some of the fluid which was crushing his brain and he spent the night in peadiatrc intensive care unit. The next day we went back up to G2 neuro ward where he is currently awaiting surgery. The only thing he has been talking about is imagine if I went to Stamford bridge and watched a game so I have set up this page to make his big dream hopfully come true and to maybe get to meet some of his favourite players 🤞🏼 So please help up in anyway x this boy deserves the world after what he's had to go through and still to come through x THANK YOU for reading xx
