Story
I’m the junior football chair of Old Ruts, a registered charity which provides much-needed sport to kids in the local area of Wimbledon and beyond.
The club desperately needs new floodlights so we can provide more sport, to more children, more of the time.
I was hoping that if I don a load of lycra and cycle 55 miles on the 2022 London to Brighton Cycle, you would sponsor my madness.
It’s a great cause and bringing new floodlights to the club would more than make up for a calloused butt.

2 years agoWe are so pleased to announce Ruts Youth FC has been awarded £7002 of National Lottery funding which will go towards the purchase of portable floodlights. With the addition of the recent fundraising via the London to Brighton cycle, we have managed to raise a total of £9336! This money will be used to purchase 2 sets of 8 portable, rechargeable floodlights. Thanks to everyone who donated towards this project or who plays National Lottery games for your support!
