Hi,

As you are all probably aware, the situation on the borders of Ukraine is very desperate at the moment. Families urgently need transport and support, so my brother, John, and I are heading out to help. John has friends and contacts in the area and is in touch with Slovakian NGOs to keep us updated with where and what help is needed.

We have been fortunate enough to have been gifted the use of a nine-seat van with cargo space.

We are leaving this weekend from the UK and will be driving with an aid cargo of supplies to Slovakia via Germany and Poland. The plan is to help the relief effort on the Slovakian Border and move displaced families to their next point of aid or rest.

The main fundraising effort is to help fill the van with necessary supplies to offload when we get there and then towards the cost of diesel and any immediate aid we find is needed when we get there.

We are asking for donations, no matter how small; thank you.

Family and friends in the UK will be coordinating and assisting.

We will do all that is required for an initial two week period and then review the situation accordingly.
