Story

Let me tell you a bit about myself, I'm currently serving as the Staff Drum Major at the Army School of Ceremonial in ITC Catterick. I've been in the British Army for almost 17 years, serving all over the world in peacetime and conflicts.

My Girlfriends Dad is suffering with Cancer, a few of my friends and family are too.

Now every year for the last 3 years I have raised money for different charities, the ABF twice, Brain Tumour research and Downs Syndrome North East. I normally do between 5 and 7 half marathons and I always run them in remembrance of my best friend who I lost to a serious road traffic accident, it gives me the motivation. Last year a ran 12 half Marathons covering over 150 mile in 8 months. Between now and Next September I am planning on covering over 200 miles for Cancer Research Uk. One of my even will be to run 69 miles in 24 hours from Carlisle Castle to Newcastle.

I need help in funding this event, in order for me to raise money for my charity. The money will pay for my entrance fees, hotels and travel, and kit and equipment in order for me to complete my challenge and raise money for this great charity. I hope I don’t come across to cheeky but shy people get nothing. Let’s all stand up to Cancer!
