Story

Well here we are again.......

Since we last spoke much has happened in the world, but one thing has remained constant. The medical pest that is Tim Quy has continued to trouble his local hospitals, this time with a succession of broken bones and damaged limbs.

Having been through the pain of cancer and its treatment and seemingly been on the path to recovery Tim has managed to give covid a swerve, but continues in his quest to break every bone in his body. A few months ago it was his ribs, last week it was a broken pelvis and femur.

Although Tim didn't want to make a fuss about his continuing run of bad luck, it has been suggested by some Pond denizens that a collection to buy him some grapes and flowers (hopefully to be presented by Miss Swift) and perhaps some kind of safety suit or stabilisers would be a lovely thing to do. Therefore we ask you to again look down the backs of your sofas and chuck a shilling in, if you are in a position to do so.

Obviously this has been very debilitating for him. He was really looking forward to being at the scheduled benefit show last March and giving thanks for the generosity that has been shown to him already, but events overtook. I believe that it is the intention of all concerned for this to happen once safe and practical.

For the sake of clarity, grapes, flowers and safety suits might not get purchased as any monies raised, less fees from the site, will be given to TQ to spend as he needs. Obviously being in and out of hospitals can incur considerable costs and his continuing run of illnesses has left him unable to work for a considerable time. It is the intention that the funds are used to alleviate the stresses of bills and everyday costs.

The part of Tim Quy was originally photographed by Stephen "Paynie" Payne and then buggered about with by Noel Storey.
