    Story

This site is dedicated to making a donation to Pilgrims Hospice https://www.pilgrimshospices.org/ in memory of Patrick Paines who passed away on 8th November 2020.

It is not possible to overstate the contribution that Pilgrims made to aiding Patrick. From his preparation and medical care in combatting his cancer to the wider help in providing a clear path and friendly space in his complex end of life year.

Pilgrims caring and professional handling of Patrick's association with them co-ordinated many aspects of his well-being whilst ensuring that Patrick retained his dignity and integrity with good humour.

If you feel inclined to make up that forgotten tab, reflect a past generosity offered to you without thought of any return or plain want to ensure Patrick's memorial gift is substantial then please give generously.

It was Patrick's wish, and the family have agreed, that the focus of raising money to be donated to Pilgrims Hospice.

The store of goodwill shown toward Patrick has been reflected in the kindness and generosity of donations allowing us to collect £10k. Patrick challenged us to achieve that. It is inintended to run the campaign until his birthday. Thus we have increased the target as most appropriately we breached the 10k target on the day of Patricks funeral.service

At the centre of so many of my favourite stories of times past (most of which are unrepeatable to those who weren’t lucky enough to be there)
