Story
We are coordinating and distributing Patients Care Packs to our local Hospitals, Care Homes, Homeless shelters, Mother and Baby shelters, indepentant living for young adults and our community in need.
The hospital have asked their staff what they need during the peak of the pandemic and they have asked for toiletries, not for themselves but their patients. Just to be able to brush their patients teeth, have them a shower or some deodorant to help them feel a bit better/refreshed.
Staff have been overwhelmed and extremely grateful with donation for themselves and in some cases given their patients their donations of toiletries.
Due to the Covid 19 relatives have unfortunately not been able to deliver toiletries, leaving many patients without being able to look after their personal hygiene and sadly the hospital doesn’t always have the facilities to provide this.
This isn’t just happening during this difficult time it is happening all the time. Some patients don’t have friends or family to be able to deliver their toiletries into hospital. Providing these patient Care Packs are also reaching out to Homeless and vulnerable patients.
Hearing this is where it all started!!! March 2020 the project began with the support of the local Browines 9th Ruisip Brownies and 2nd Ruislip Guides.
