Story
Parc Arts fromerly Park Presbyterian Church has sat on Princess Street Treforest since 1908. It has served the community in many different ways over the years, as a chapel, a Sunday school, a grazing area for goats, allotments not to mention hosting significant moments for local families through baptisms, weddings, funerals and celebrations…
It was co-founded by the family of internationally acclaimed composer Morfydd Llwyn Owen and decades later was the home Chapel of local lad Tom Woodward who grew up to become Tom Jones. It’s legacy is unique and it has stood firm as the community around it has evolved.
It has been a joy to reimagine the space over the last couple of years and we have been so blessed by those who have invested in our vision to serve both artists and audiences. We are a work in progress and want to continue to grow in our effectiveness in offering a safe and inclusive space for all people both inside and OUTSIDE of our walls.
The plot of land that surrounds us is as yet an untapped resource that we would like to invite you to help us make a place of natural beauty, play and function. Our hope is to clear up all of the litter and objects that have been dumped on the land over many years, we would love to plant a meadow, eventually a small orchard of fruit trees that the community can pick, we also want to build planters and picnic tables and create a beautiful, safe garden for everyone to enjoy.
It would even allow us to host outdoor events!
To do this we need your help in purchasing materials and seeds, please would you consider donating what you can and sharing this with anyone you think may like to partner with us.
Thank you so much,
The Parc Arts Team x

5 months agoSummer is very much here and we want to put these funds to use soon, so our garden can be enjoyed. We’ve withdrawn donations so far and plan to start purchasing wood to create some beautiful planters to line our fence and add some colour beautiful flowers! We will be having some gardening days over July so keep your eyes open for those, maybe you can pop by and lend a hand! That’s all from us for now! And huge thanks! 🪴🌺🌿🌸🌱
