"Monsoon on steroids" UN Sec General Antonio Guteerres.

The epochal floods caused by 2022 monsoon in Pakistan has affected millions of the poorest people on this planet. It has caused devastation of life, livelihoods, homes and the meagre infrastructure that existed. The scale of devastation is unprecedented and affects 3 of the 5 provinces of Pakistan. These people need urgent help now and for the future and this is mainly being done by NGOs and charities working on the ground.

I am raising money to facilitate aid to the stricken people and areas. As a result I am pledging to walk 5 Kilometres, 5K, every day for all of September, weekdays and weekends. Those who know me are aware that this will be tough for me, but this cause is meaningful, and serious, enough that I need to challenge myself to this goal. Please dig deep and donate generously, I shall be grateful for all your support.

I have chose 2 charities where I shall divide money equally. I personally know the work both these established charities do on the ground for many years and know that your money will be used honestly and ethically to directly help the victims of the floods.
