Story

Currently £1445 raised for this incredible cause - a new account needed to created as it had expired (the link can be viewed via my instagram)

2 years ago me and my siblings lost our father to suicide, he was a bold, happy, caring man who lit up any room. His death was a painful shock to everyone who knew him. Suicide isn’t about ending your life it’s about stopping the pain, the good thing is pain can go away with the proper help and support. The heavy weight is temporary, by simply standing up you are able to take that first step to recovery.

To raise money for ‘ManHealth’, May 23rd I am going to hike to Scotland then ascend Ben Nevis. Excluding sleep/ food breaks the trek is expected to take 3 days 10 hours and will cover 235 miles before even reaching Nevis. I will be carrying my full equipment and will be camping out when rest is needed. I have thought about how I could best raise money for men’s mental health. I felt doing something fun like a skydive wouldn’t be suited to the cause. I wanted to mentally push myself and really make this impactful, so what better way than a long gruelling trek across the country to reach the destination to then climb the UK’s highest mountain. When all of that initial motivation has worn out and I’m exhausted. Why? Because what could symbolise continuing the fight even when you don’t want to.
