I've raised £8000 to purchase paddle boards to deliver monthly sup lessons for families that have experienced loss & bereavement.

Hi, my name is Lee Woodrow. 5 years ago one of our daughters passed away at 15 years old from a long term battle with illness and since then my family, I and my partner have suffered from grief and mental health issues. We spent many years in and out of GOSH and fully understand the pressures on parents, siblings and family. In the past my family and I have raised thousands for the sick children's trust, James Paget Hospital and GOSH.
4 years ago I discovered paddle boarding and found the experience to be an amazing way of relieving stress and helping me cope with grief. I’ve now been paddle boarding for 4 years and I’m passionate about helping others to experience the tranquility and mental benefits of paddle boarding - especially anyone who has experienced child loss, mental health issues or PTSD.
I’m an ex military instructor with a passion for water sports and I recently passed the ASI Paddle Boarding Instructors course. My family and I are planning on hosting monthly 2hr guided paddle boarding sessions on the Norfolk broads for individuals, couples and families that have experienced loss.
My tours and coaching sessions have been designed to help relieve stress and motivate individuals by delivering an engaging, fun and physical experience that gets you back to nature, back on your feet and makes you feel alive again.
We are trying to raise enough money as part of our corporate social responsibility mission to purchase 8 new premium paddle boards and associated equipment so that we can host lessons for individuals, couples and families to experience stand up paddle boarding in a safe, insured and fun environment.
Please donate what you can so that I can help families in need and offer them an experience that helps relieve grief and pulls them up when they most need it.
