Story
Hello and 🙏 Namaste!
We are horrified by the latest surge of coronavirus in Nepal, where people are running from one hospital to another to save the loved ones. So many are being refused to admit due to a shortage of beds and oxygen.
We are absolutely disappointed to see the government's failure to provide essential medical care. But we cannot also sit and watch our loved ones lose their life. So, we are trying our best to help our friends and family fight against this deadly virus, for which they desperately need oxygen, ventilators, and other critical equipment as the number who need support is rapidly increasing.
We are raising funds to buy two Oxygen Concentrator machines for Aruchanaute Primary Health Care Center in Aarughat Rural Municipality and two for Gorkha District Hospital in Gorkha Municipality. Me and my wife, we are planning to do a very challenging walk on our 16th wedding anniversary. It will be the biggest challenge so far for both of us. We will be walking 100kms (hopefully) within 30 hours (from London to Oxford). We have never walked this far but with your love and support, we believe, we can do this. Trust us, we will absolutely appreciate your support and consider it as our Wedding anniversary gift!
With our work and family commitments, training and planning for such a challenge are very tough. But I am sure your donations and support will motivate and inspire us to complete this challenge successfully.
We will ensure every penny donated here will directly support the purchase of a machine. If you are interested in detail about our fundraising activities and if you want to find out how the donations are being collected and where we are helping with your help, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you very much.
Raphi and Sujan.

4 years agoWe completed our 100k challenge on 4th July. A slight change to our plan was that we finished at Reading instead of Oxford for the convenience of traveling back home in time after we finish. We followed mostly Thames Path and trails in our route. If you like to read, I've shared our experience here: http://offlinemobile.blogspot.com/2021/07/100km-challenge.html

The walk was easy technically, though moderate due to the distance and the rolling ascents and descents over the Cliffs. At the end, we had Dinner @ The Gurkhha restaurant. https://www.thegurkharestaurant.co.uk/
