The Oxford Opera Society is Oxford's main opera society, which aims to bring opera lovers together and make opera more accessible to students and residents, both through appreciation and through participation. We put on our own productions, as well as arranging affordable trips to world class productions, promoting other opera productions within Oxford, and organising social events to encourage like-minded people interested in opera to meet and share their interest. We aim to reach out to those who know little about opera as well as providing opportunities to singers, directors and musicians.

The Society is run by student and resident volunteers, and its activities in any one year depend on the particular interests of its dedicated committee. It receives no regular funding or sponsorship, and we have to rely on ticket sales and donations for our existence. Since 2018, we have put on a major production every year, alternating between full operas and concerts of fully-staged scenes. These events take a lot of time and money to put on, and we are significantly limited by lack of funds in what we can achieve.

That is why we have put together this page as a central portal for donations to help support our activities. Please do give generously - even if you can spare only a few pounds, it will make a great difference to us.
