Story

Oxford Junior Stars Christmas 'Skate a thon '

This Christmas our wonderful Junior players, who range in age from 5 to 20; have decided they would like to try and raise some money themselves, to help ensure their Ice Hockey teams can continue to run.

The idea of a Christmas Skate a Thon was drawn up because, quite honestly, the young people are very good at speed skating!

On the 19th December 2018, the players will skate, in FULL body armour for as many continuous laps as possible during the skate a thon session. We will publish their results including the highest laps per age group, on this just giving page after the event.

Here's a bit about our club:

The Oxford Junior Stars Ice Hockey Club is a not-for-profit organisation run by a team of dedicated volunteers with the primary intention of letting the children have fun on the ice whilst learning how to play this fast and exciting sport.

The majority of costs are incurred from the ice rink hire costs (Ice is VERY expensive) and the EIHA officials required to officiate the games. Whilst the committee always endeavour to balance the membership fees against the costs, the club desperately requires sponsorship and donations to keep running and competing. W

Please take a look at our website to see more of our teams and what we do!https://www.oxfordjuniorstars.com/info

We would like to thank you for sponsoring us and wish you all a Merry Christmas! from the Oxford Junior Stars Ice Hockey Club.
