I've raised £500 to for Violet Grace’s Gift which promotes organ donation, helps local hospitals, bereaved parents and seriously ill children.

St. Helens Bees Netball Club are taking on a walk up Moel Famau to raise money for our chosen charity, Violet Grace’s Gift.
Violet-Grace Youens was so tragically killed in a despicable hit and run by a driver in a stolen vehicle in St Helens in 2017. She was just 4yrs old with her whole life ahead of her. Her grandmother suffered life changing injuries.
There is no need to go into details or the ins and outs of what happened but this unimaginable crime shocked not just the community of St. Helens but the whole of the country.
To have to continue to live your life without your child is the worst possible thing that could ever ever happen. For Glenn and Becky Youens to turn this tragedy into some form of positive and successfully change sentencing guidelines in the form of Violet’s Law is inspirational.
As a club, we have done lots of fundraising for ourselves and for the likes of equipment and kit, and now after a year of being set up and established, we want to give something back to our community. We want our little netballers to understand how important charity work is…. We couldn’t think of a more worthy charity to raise funds for than Violet Grace’s Gift.
Violet-Graces Gift has been created in her loving memory to promote organ donation, help local hospitals, community projects, bereaved parents and seriously ill children.
We are sure Violet would have been an incredible St Helens Bee 💜🐝💜 But she didnt get that opportunity 😢
So on 1st October….which is the day before Violet’s 10th birthday….our litlle bees (all aged 3-8) and their families will walk up Moel Famau as a club, showing our amazing community spirit and with your help, hopefully raising lots of money in the process.
Any donation is appreciated. Thank you.
