Irony Ribeiro is a Brazilian missionary living in Tanzania. She manages an orphanage for young girls only. They have all been victims of sexual abuse, female genital mutilation or arranged marriages. Nyumba Ya Bibi Sebastiana is the orphanage's name that nowadays hosts 28 girls.

The girls can live there until the age of 18 (orphans). They are taught how to sew to learn a trade and secure chances of a better future. The orphanage also receives volunteers (they really need people - ladies only due to the abused suffered by the girls).Email: ironi.missoes_africa@hotmail.com

As they have only 6 sewing machines and 28 girls, this justgiving page is to help them to buy some much needed new sewing machines to teach more girls at the same time and maximize their time learning and producing. They make local clothing.

As we are celebrating March and the International Women's Day, lets help these girls to a have a chance of a better and happier future after all the pain and fear they have been through at such young age.

Ironi Ribeiro é uma missionária brasileira que mora na Tanzania, África. Ela abriu e mantém um orfanato para meninas e adolescentes que foram vítimas de abuso sexual, mutilação genital ou casamento precoce. Inclusive uma das meninas fugiu da aldeia, grávida, depois de ter sido estuprada.

O orfanato, de nome Casa da vovó Sebastiana, hoje em dia tem 28 meninas. Elas moram no orfanato até completarem 18 anos, onde aprendem a costurar para terem uma profissão e melhores chances no futuro.

O orfanato aceita e está no momento precisando de voluntárias (apenas mulheres devido ao passado de abuso sofrido pelas meninas). Interessadas entrem em contato pelo email: ironi.missoes_africa@hotmail.com

O orfanato dispõe apenas de 6 máquinas de costuras e a intenção dessa página é angariar fundos para comprarmos mais algumas para que mais meninas possam ter aulas ao mesmo tempo, produzir mais material (elas fazem roupas locais) e com isso terem mais verbas para se manterem.

Março é o mês do dia Internacional da Mulher. Vamos ajudar essas meninas, tão jovens, mas já com histórias de vidas tão sofridas, a terem uma chance de um futuro melhor.
