    Story

Options is a user-led day service for adults with a learning disability based at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe which promotes independence, informed choices and social inclusion.

On Thursday, August 25th 2016 we are hosting our second annual Summer Festival at the Pioneering Care Centre. As part of the festival we will be having a sponsored Sing-Along-A-Danceathon. Members who attend Options day service and Social Club will sing and/or dance non-stop for 30 minutes throughout the day from 8:30am-8:30pm.

The marathon event is being organised by the members and over 30 members will be taking part. Anyone attending the festival is encouraged to join in and have a sing and a dance to show their support!

The festival kicks off with a coffee morning from 10:30am-12:00pm at the Pioneering Care Centre. Come and enjoy freshly baked cakes and scones with a tea or coffee prepared by the members in return for a small donation.

Stalls and games including Penalty Shootout, Face painting, Hook-a-duck, Treasure Hunt, Tombola, Guess the name of the Teddy, Guess how many sweets in the jar, and more will be available to take part in throughout the day. There will also be a prize for best fancy dress!

Last year we raised over £1,000 and we're hoping to raise even more this time around! All donations are greatly appreciated no matter how big or small and we really hope you can come and support us on the day!

All money raised will go to Options and will be used to fund new equipment including a new iPad, new learning activities and trips, and overall, make the service even better!

    Thank you for your support
