I've raised £5000 to Community and School Libraries in Rural Nigeria.

This project was conceived when I went for data collection in rural Nigeria for my doctorate degree. During this period, I noticed that there were no public libraries and many of the people in primary and secondary education do not have access to functional libraries in their schools. Similarly, majority of the youth were unemployed and lack basic digital skills.
Seeing their struggles, difficulties and challenges, the passion and commitment to open a new chapter for these residents was conceived, - to provide training centre, and public library to cater for their information needs, especially for those who have never been to school.
Your kind donation will help to fund the establishment of the school and community library. The library will also serve as a training centre which offers FREE digital skill training to the youths to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial prospect. Also, the library will provide resources and services to meet the needs of the older people in the rural communities for education, information, and personal development.
With your support, we can give rural residents access to a wide range of knowledge, ideas and skills. Join me to change the narrative of illiteracy in rural Africa. Thank you.
