***UPDATE: HUGE THANKS FOR HELPING US REACH OUR TARGET SO QUICKLY! The more we raise, the more books we can get into the hands of families who need them. The project is only going to be in the spotlight for a brief period but the overwhelming amount of goodwill you are all showing will last forever. THANK YOU!***

Imagine being told you wouldn’t live long enough to spend another summer with your kids. That's what happened to Lisa Wells.

In 2017 at the age of 32, Lisa was diagnosed with terminal bowel and liver cancer. Lisa's doctors suggest she has between just two and twelve months to live.

She is facing the reality of leaving behind a loving husband and two wonderful little daughters, Ava-Lily and Saffia. It's heartbreaking. But Lisa is a remarkable human being - she plans on helping mend broken hearts.

She's determined to leave a special message behind; a lasting legacy that won't just help her own family deal with her loss, but will also help other families like hers to deal with bereavement.

Lisa has teamed up with bestselling children's author Michelle Robinson to write a book that helps families who find themselves in this situation. (You can read more about the project here, and you can also read the book text itself: http://michellerobinson.co.uk/only-one-of-me/)

#OnlyOneOfMe already has a publisher (thank you, Graffeg!) and the support of We Hear You cancer counselling (thank you, WHY!). We now need help to pay an illustrator and to cover print and distribution costs. If we can get cracking, we'll be able to publish ONLY ONE OF ME in time for Lisa to hold her book in her hands and to share it with Ava-Lily and Saffia. So, WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP.

The resulting book (TWO books, actually - we'll be printing a mum version and a dad version) will be made available to all, but the key intention is for it to be distributed to charities, hospitals and hospices so that it gets into the hands of people who really need it. You can help make that happen.

Every pound will help. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
