I'm raising £5000 to start the One Wish Dog Foundation

I have volunteered as Dog Team Leader for a Hertfordshire-based animal rescue for several years now, and the knowledge and experience I have gained in that time has been invaluable.
2024 was a record-breaking year for the charity. I led a team of amazing volunteers to rescue 120 dogs, which was 50% more than 2023 and a whopping140% more than 2022. I am proud to have grown what was once a small, little-known charity into a well-respected and successful organisation.
Being able to positively change the lives of unwanted and abandoned animals is my true calling. I moved to Oxfordshire in 2023 and I'm taking a leap of faith in starting up my very own dog rescue charity, the One Wish Dog Foundation.
Initially, the charity will rescue and rehome strays and unwanted dogs in the Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire areas however we're aiming high; our long time goal is to rescue dogs across the country. We're starting as a small, foster-based charity but our medium term aim is to raise enough funds to build our rescue kennels and dog sanctuary in the local area.
The One Wish Dog Foundation will also promote responsible dog ownership and campaign for change. Tackling injustice for dogs and their welfare, we'll be their voice (and we'll be shouting loudly and proudly for them!)
Our aim is to transform lives, one dog at a time, but we require initial funding to get started. Our £5,000 target will not only allow us to take in our first One Wish dogs, it will also allow us to purchase marketing materials to raise awareness, run fundraising events, obtain registered charity status and get ourselves fully insured. We're all volunteers so you can feel reassured that all funds raised will go straight towards our start up.
We hope that you'll join us on this exciting journey and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support. We're delighted to welcome you as a member of the One Wish Dog Family.
