The Shining Star is a small primary school in Gahini, which is in the Eastern province of Kyonza in Rwanda. During our stay in Gahini the children and I are teaching at the Shining Star, where we have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and friendliness of both the children and the staff. However resources are scarce, and I am hoping that by creating this fundraising page we may be able to take even a small step to address this issue. A small donation could contribute towards text books for the children, or paper and pencils which are also in short supply. It would be amazing to be able to provide some kind of sports/playground equipment, such as a cricket set, or skipping ropes. The teachers would hugely benefit from a photocopier/printer... the list goes on.

If anyone is generous enough to contribute, I shall put up on this site all that I have been able to provide for these children.
