Story

This is our Olivia, a cheeky, kind & hilarious 2 year old, who also happens to be a little warrior fighting stage 4 Neuroblastoma - a very aggressive and rare form of childhood cancer, with under 100 cases diagnosed in the UK each year.

At the start of December 2021, Olivia was being sick every day for over 40 days. She was in and out of Bridgend hospital, she was told it wasn't life threatening and they just needed to find the cause.

Early January, Olivia's symptoms soon changed: she was pale skinned, limping and complaining of pain in her legs. Olivia was referred to Cardiff and after a MRI Scan on January 12th, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma, which comes with a 50% survival rate.

Olivia is currently undergoing an aggressive treatment plan at Noah's Ark Children's Hospital in Cardiff where her treatment will last at least 18 months.

As well as biopsies, MRI scans, MIBG scans (which includes nuclear medicine), general anaesthetic and blood transfusions Olivia is on a treatment plan and we are going for cure.

Her treatment plan is 80 days initial chemotherapy that is split into 10 day blocks, daily G-CSF injections, surgery to remove the majority of the main tumour on her spine, stem cell transplant, high dose chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy.

It’s going to be a long journey and (like all cancer) there is a chance of it returning. Unfortunately with Neuroblastoma if it does return the survival rates are extremely poor, and this is where we are unashamedly asking for your help…

There is a treatment being trialled at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York called a Bivalent Vaccine which can be given to reduce the chance of the Neuroblastoma returning. Unfortunately it’s not currently available in the UK and so we are fundraising to be able to take Olivia to get this or other progressive treatments which might be available when the time comes.

We want to be completely transparent in everything that we do which is why we are explaining this. The money that we raise will go towards Olivia's treatment, improving her quality of life, supporting her family and getting Olivia to America to have the life saving treatment that she desperately needs.

Please help us raise funds, every pound and penny counts.

Olivia continues to amaze us with her resilience, smiles & giggles in spite of the gruelling chemotherapy plan she’s on. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any donation that you’re able to give. Olivia is going to beat cancer and we will get her to America with all your support and help!!!

If you’d like to organise an event to help raise money for Olivia please get in touch and we’ll support you in anyway we can.
