Recently one of my closest friends Adam Ball was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, formally known as ALS. This is a rare disease which affects the brain and nerves resulting in weakness of the body which gets worse over time and can significantly reduce life expectancy.

Unfortunately there is no cure for the disease. However, there are treatments available out there in the UK & abroad which can reduce the impact on daily life.

Adam has a strong and loving family.

I will be taking part of the Great Manchester Run on Sunday 20th May, challenging myself to complete the half marathon to raise money for Adam. All monies raised will go towards his future medical treatments.
