Iʼve raised £175 to raise money to help parents dealing with the loss of a baby. We aim to buy a Cuddlecot, which is a specialist Moses basket.

    Story

This is to raise money to help parents dealing with the loss of a baby. We hope to be able to raise enough money to buy a Cuddlecot which gives more time for the parents to spend together with their child. These precious moments can really help families at such a difficult time.

A Cuddlecot is a portable cooling Moses basket that enables the parents to bring their baby home and spend valuable time together before the funeral. Without a Cuddlecot, baby and family are often separated well in advance of the funeral causing further distress. The Cuddlecot gives the parents the choice of where their baby will be cared for before the funeral, even bringing them home. Without a Cuddlecot or specialist equipment, babies are looked after at hospital mortuaries, which can't provide the personal care families need.

We appreciate any support and have set up a JustGiving page.

    Thank you,

    Oliver Holmes

The CuddleCot costs around £1600 and we will be raising some money as a team; Alex and I will be running, Sarah is baking and I am trying to convince Dad (David) to stop sugar for a month!
