Story

Peace Ride Challenge

Thank you for viewing our Just Giving page which we have set up ahead of a challenging Cycle Ride this March from the sports pitches at the University of Kent to the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres, Belgium.

The Peace Ride is part of a Twinning process between the University of Kent Football Pitches and the iconic 'Peace Pitch' in Belgium where German and Allied soldiers famously downed their weapons and kicked a football on Christmas Day over 100 years ago. So long as we arrive on time we will have the privilege of laying a Poppy Football at the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing at the 8pm 'Last Post Ceremony Service' on Saturday 23rd March.

The Cause...

Oli & Lee are part of a team of 21 riders who will be are raising money for the National Children's Football Alliance and their unique Slum Soccer project in India which facilitates access to football and other essential provisions for children and families for whom poverty is an everyday challenge.

Please support us and this amazing cause to give a child the opportunity participate in the 2019 Global Peace Games and kick a football in hope of a better life. All donations count and will be transferred directly to the NCFA upon completion of the ride - more info on the ride, the charity and their work is available via http://www.childrensfootballalliance.com/
