Story
Oakwood is a Special School based in South Belfast but catering for children from North, South, East and West Belfast. Our children have a wide range of Special Needs including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Complex Medical needs.
Our ethos is based on the belief that no matter who you are, what your capabilities are or what your disabilities are we are all equal, respected and loved and that life is about laughter and happiness, and that we are all here to help each other.
Oakwood needs to raise £20,000 as we are committed to improving ICT provision to ensure that our pupils have access to up to date technology to give them the best opportunities possible.
We believe our very special children deserve the best and so want
to provide every classroom in the school with access to computer
technology in the form of interactive panels for this we need to
raise £20,000, a huge sum but this would allow us to buy seven
more panels to add to the three we purchased last year.
