Story

The night of 12th of december 2021 the small Island of Nusa Penida got hit by a thunderstorm of biblical proportions that has devastated the island. What must have been a couple of months of rain fell in a few hours and the natural valleys and stream beds burst their banks, widened and even created new streams to handle the huge amount of flooding. This deluge has crippled a lot of the infrastructure. Power lines were down, roads crumbled, houses collapsed. Livestock, scooters, trees, plants, everything washed away.

In the cold light of day there is going to have to be a huge clean up op and rebuild for the everyone affected (and everyone is affected). Obviously being sat in the middle of a pandemic with little to no work this extra disaster couldn't have come at a worse time. Its a tough time for everyone the world over right now but anything you can spare will be welcome.

We pieced together this little video of the areas we could actually get to today. Standing water meant there was lots of places we couldn't go. Flooding in Penida
