Story
Newquay Tretherras Sixth Form Land's End to John o' Groats Lockdown Challenge
Inspired by Captain Tom who raised £28,000,000 for The NHS ; we at Newquay Tretherras Sixth Form would like to "follow in his footsteps" and try to raise funds for our local Food Bank which has been a fantastic source of support to many of our families.
We collectively aim to walk the distance from Land's End to John o' Groats (874 miles) by logging our daily walks on Strava and "collecting" these miles. Please support our lockdown challenge to help us to raise much needed funds.
THANK YOU

5 years agoHi everyone. We are now on our way back to Land's End on two wheels this time! You have supported us in raising £540 for the foodbank which is amazing. The donations page will close in two days time and the money transferred over to the foodbank so this is the final chance to donate if you would like to do so. During the past 4 days, we have covered 250 miles so we should be back in Cornwall pretty soon. Thank you once again to donors, supporters, walkers, runners and cyclists. You are all awesome!!

5 years agoHey! We passed the finishing line clocking 874 miles on Saturday. What a blast it has been. Thank you all for your support. So far we have raised £520. Not content with the massive effort that our staff and students have made they now want to cycle back! Mad fools. So here we go again. We started back at 9 am 18 May and are running a competition as to who can guess how many hours it will be before we log the final miles. Donate £5 to enter and email me your guess to nt6@tretherras.net. There is a nice red liquid prize for the nearest guess.
