My name is Nona Cunningham and I am an 18 year old fashion student from Shropshire, UK. I have been fortunate enough to have the amazing opportunity to study at the brand new and prestigious Jimmy Choo Academy (JCA) in London. However, I have set up this page as the fees are incredibly expensive. In order to attend JCA they request double the tuition fees, therefore I only have access to half the student loan scheme available to me and I have to raise the funds to retrieve the remaining amount.

I am currently studying fashion full time in college and I am set to achieve the highest grade of a triple distinction star. Fashion has always been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I wanted to be a fashion designer before I knew what they were from styling my Bratz dolls to up-cycling old clothes fashion has always been a constant in my life. Studying at JCA would be a dream come true, they have the facilities and industry professionals who can help me to become the designer I have always wanted to be. The academy prides itself on creating a nurturing environment for young designers and encourages creativity to the highest degree.

I currently have a small styling business by which I create personalised and sustainable outfit bundles- sustainability is hugely important to me as my goal for the future is to make a positive change to the industry- I would love to evolve my small business further to become an established sustainable fashion label of it’s own. By studying on my chosen course of Design, Branding and Entrepreneurship, I would be able to take my business to the next level and learn a huge range of new skills whilst studying at the academy. It is incredibly surreal to me to have this opportunity as a black female creative; I aspire to make my mark in the fashion industry and hope my experience will allow me to help young creatives in the future.
