Story
For those who came through the care system...
If you have been through the care system, then you will have been subject to reviews, potentially several social workers, a number of placements. You are likely to have experienced traumatic events and had your life recorded for you on paper.
People who have experienced this through their younger years are likely to be dealing with the fallout, even now in their adult life. It can take some time, will require guidance and the positive influence of secure relationships to integrate the experience fully.
Not learning how to move forward from what has happened, will mean that these past experiences could end up defining the life of the adult rather than enabling them to be the best version of themselves.
The answer...
The No More Labels Foundation™ will work directly with adults who have experienced the care system, by offering coaching programmes that address Mental Health and Well Being, Careers and Entrepreneurial Ventures and Life Skills.
Money will not be a barrier for access to the life changing coaching opportunities. All training programmes will be free at the point of referral from any individual or organisation enabled to refer and we envisage support coming to us in the form of donations to the charity, formal bids and organisational buy in once formally set up.
The initial funding of £6,500 enables the team to register as a charity and get everything set up ready to go to market, together with a Launch Event in Early 2018. This will come initially from Crowdfunding. Once the first programme has been released, continued fundraising campaigns will be developed and applications to various sources who will support the work will be made.
Why £6,500?
In short, to register a charity there is a requirement of at least £5,000 in donations to be made and in the bank account at the time of registration. After registration, legal costs, event marketing, PR and branding work to launch other fundraising initiatives will be funded with this money.
All course material and training will be produced by NML Foundation coaches who in turn will be sponsored or give their time for free.
