I've raised £6000 to help fund continuing participation in choir tours, trips & competitions for young people despite drastic cuts to arts funding

Hello, we are a group of year 10, 11 and sixth form students who are trying to raise money for our choir and music department at Norbury Manor Business and Enterprise College for Girls. Our choir relies on donations in order to function and those funds are quickly spent; we believe it's important to be inclusive but if we are to continue to support talented individuals whatever their circumstances we need help! So, we would like to raise as much as we can to help fund choir tours and trips, to support students who need financial assistance and to enable us to continue to enter competitions.
Words cannot explain how much we have grown because of our participation in musical events. Many of us started out singing in the school choir in year 7 and now, years later, our passion and love for music has only strengthened.
Unfortunately, doing the thing we love at the level we are able to is proving increasingly difficult. At a time when the arts in general are hugely undervalued, funding for music has suffered enormous cuts. Our teachers, Mrs Stevens, Mr Brown and Miss Merivale, work hard day and night to keep the department and choir alive. We would love to repay them by doing as much as we possibly can to help our choir.
Some of the places we have been lucky enough to perform at include the Royal Albert Hall (on stage with Lianne La Havas), the offices of the record label Warner and Disneyland Paris. We are a talented choir with great teachers and stand-out individuals. Every Monday lunchtime and after school we dedicate our time to singing; for our premier choir, Celeste, we also practise on Friday lunchtimes. As it stands, the school choir is made up of over 60 children ranging in age from 11-19. We are a family, a community of people who share an intense love of music.
I hope from reading this that you understand just how much this all means to us. Please feel free to donate whatever you can. Every penny helps! Thanks :)
