Our 6 days of strike action have made an impact - as you would expect/ hope for. Negotiations are progressing but the employer seems to be on a "go slow" so our action continues. As you all may know the only way to budge a difficult employer to do the right and fair thing is through industrial action but gaining the legal approval and the right opportunities for this are getting ever so more difficult in this current climate and context. Nevertheless we have done incredibly well to escalate action for the last two months. More to come!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far: the CoLC UCU reps and activists have been super busy during the strike days and picketing and it seems the struggle is paying off in so many ways - in negotiations that have started and mostly with connecting with members and comrades in the union. The gig went down a storm that accompanied this just giving for those that couldn’t attend. The musicians were incredible talents and the solidarity was eye watering.We are only £50 away from our target!
