Story
This month, especially, is one in which we should be grateful for the countless bounties bestowed upon us by the Almighty. It is a time for giving and gaining extra, as the reward for each good action is multiplied. It is also an opportunity to remember those in our country and around the world whose lives are blighted by poverty, conflict and disease.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Give (in charity) and do not give reluctantly lest Allah should give you in a limited amount; and do not withhold your money lest Allah should withhold it from you.” (Narrated in Bukhari and Muslim)
Al Islah Girls High School provides Islamic and secular education for girls from Blackburn and surrounding areas. The institute runs on low fees, subsidising the costs with donations.
Lillah / Nafil Sadaqah – voluntary charity
Donations to a place of teaching and learning can be a means of both continuous reward (sadaqah jariyah) and passing on rewards to others (isaal al-thawab), especially because our graduates will go on to benefit hundreds of different communities, inshaAllah.
Please donate generously to this noble cause – each pound is worth so much more during this month.
I pray that you are rewarded abundantly for your kindness (Ameen) and I end with a request for your prayers (during this Holy month of Ramadan) for peace, comfort and harmony across the world.
