It was a tough day yesterday picked up a niggle really early on and it progressively got worse as the run progressed sending pain from my glute/hip up and down my leg 😬. I was hoping to finish sub 3hrs but realised this wasn’t going to happen focused on getting to the finish line. All your support and thinking of Geraint got me through it. Surprised and chuffed to say I finished in 3:08:00 that’s 11mins quicker than last year 😁. I’ve pre registered for 2018 Cardiff Half we have unfinished business 💪🏼 Massive thank you for donations 😘😘😘

It’s the eve before the big day ...Cardiff Half 2017eeeek!!!! Final preparations are underway kit is ready and bag is packed. Feeling nervous and really not looking forward to the weather predicted but I’m sure the atmosphere and all the support will distract me. It’ll be an amazing experience and no doubt there’ll be some tough times but during those times I’ll be thinking of the reason I signed up ...GERAINT RICHARDS a true hero who battles everyday and still manages to smile 😃. Today I took part in Swansea 10k in the cold drizzly rain wearing last years #TeamGeraint t-shirt. Bit of a mental battle today. These are the runs you learn most from so I'm told. Hearing the cheers "Go on Team Geraint!" "Great running Team Geraint!" reminded me why I'm here and why I started running. Thinking of Geraint and the daily battles he has to go through never fails to motivate me. I'm so chuffed to say thinking of Geraint spurred me on to achieve a PB😁 Cardiff half I think I'm ready for you. Thanks to you all for the support 😘😘
