Story

My name is Murray. I am 11 years old and I live in Kirkwall, Orkney.

During the month of March I am setting myself a challenge to walk 129 miles. This distance is equivalant to leaving from Kirkwall lifeboat station and visiting every station in Orkney, before finishing back at the Kirkwall lifeboat station. It will be hard for me to do the actual route on the map so most of my steps will be around Kirkwall, but I am looking forward to exploring some other areas of the mainland as I build up my miles!

I have chosen to donate any sponsorship I receive to the RNLI. The RNLI is very important to where I live and I want to support such a good charity. This year will be difficult for them to do their usual fundraising due to the covid restrictions, so I wanted to do my bit to support them and help raise some money for such a great cause.
