Story

Helen was 43 when diagnosed, out of the blue, with terminal brain cancer in summer 2016 when Daisy was 15 and Isabel was 13. When the last treatments and trials failed in May 2018, H was told to expect to live about 3 months. She lived for 30, as the heart and soul.

And Isabel has made a video:

So many people helped Helen and we - that's Daisy, Isabel and Nick - would like to give something back, in Helen's memory. Whatever we raise will be shared equally between Maggie's, the wonderful charity where Helen worked in her final job; Brain Tumour Research; and the hospice where H spent the last year of her life.

If you are able to give a couple of quid, that's brilliant. Please ignore the default donation amount button and enter a lower amount! And if you're not able, that's totally cool. But do go out of your way to tell someone you love them. That can also change a life, or just make someone's day.

Daisy, Isabel and Nick. And H.

PS: (added on Christmas Day): We started out yesterday morning hoping to raise £1,500 but did that by the first afternoon, so changed it to £2,500 and achieved by the evening. So it's gone up again. Our real target is 'as much as possible, to make as much difference as possible'. THANK YOU!
