Story

Create two amazing & unique "NHS True Legacy" storybooks to capture and preserve the memories of our NHS frontline workers. One will be a multi biographical book for adults and the other will be a fictional story for children.

I hope you agree that this is an appropriate way to remember and celebrate them. Their stories need to be told and deserve to be remembered.

This is a project that the people of the UK could all contribute to in order to show their appreciation.

*** All profits and fund raising in excess of the book production costs will go to the selected charities of our NHS families or NHS charities together ***

Key Project Highlights

- Bring some comfort and healing to the families and friends impacted by our losses, through UK public recognition across all ages

- Inspire children to work in the NHS using the names of Superheroes no longer with us

- Bring the UK population together to create a meaningful memorial to people we are all indebted to

- Printed books will be donated to schools, hospitals and public libraries

- This is a 'not for profit' project; all services incurred to create the books will be on an ‘at cost’ basis

- If public are generous and believe in this; we may consider selling the printed book to raise money for the NHS charities trust together.

It may take me six months to bring this project to life.

I may be prepared to cycle the distance of the tour de France and swim the equivalent distance of the channel to raise the funds needed to carry this project to completion.

This is in perfect alignment with the vision I had for my non profit business Tailored Yarn CIC. It was set up after winning a business grant in a Santander entrepreneur competition at my university where I was studying a psychology masters. I entered this competition thinking I've got nothing to lose but never expecting it would be a pivotal moment that would alter the course of my life and set it in an alternative path.

Tailored Yarn is the first Community Interest Company (not for profit) of it’s kind to write and illustrate beautiful bespoke memory books for children facing grief and bereavement. The idea is similar to memory boxes, but in the unique form of a fictional literature legacy.

Srini Kovvuri (Business Advisor / Accountant) has agreed to support the project and independently validate how the money is being spent to ensure funds are managed as communicated and promised.
