Newton Heath Cricket Club has been running for 161 years, giving a sporting chance to more than 5,000 young men from around the North Manchester area. But now, for the first time in years, we're closed and without cricket during the summer season. Like many community clubs, we have no way of making the money we need to simply maintain our facilities, most importantly, the cricket pitch, which needs constant care. We've also been blighted by continual fly-tipping and vandalism.
