Story
This was an avoidable tragedy. This homeless man was clearly unable to take care of himself. Allowed to exist on the ground at a bus stop, sleeping in his own filth is a testament to what is wrong with the world today.
Many times police and ambulance were called to help but for some reason he was left there.
On the hottest day on record and the rainy nights, he was left to suffer.
He died at the bus stop where he lived.
Please let this memorial be a reminder for all humanity that homeless people are our concern NOT problem.

6 years agoHi All, just a quick message to let you know that I am still waiting for a response from the Cllrs that said we would meet last week. Still nothing. Please be assured, time will not stop me from acheiving this aim to have some kind of memorial for a man that was failed on so many levels. I can only assume that staff are still away on holiday. I anticipate a level of movement from Hackney Council this week. I will keep the updates going.

Rest in peace Musa. I passed the bus stop everyday for work. I always hoped he wasn't a stranger. Now I know there are people who care. Stoke Newington at it's finest.

I was so saddened by the death of Musa. I would cycle past him every day. Homelessness in the city has reached such shocking levels and is only set to get worse unless our government does more to help
