Story

THIRTY YEAR ANNIVERSARY PROJECT

Imagine a place where memories intertwine with heritage and where friendships are forged under the shelter of ancient wisdom. For thirty years, The Prince of Wales School in Dorchester has stood as a beacon of education, nurturing young minds amidst the tranquil embrace of nature.

At the heart of our school lies a treasure trove of experiences— our Ancient Technology Forest School, complete with on-site Celtic Roundhouse. For decades, the area has been a testament to our commitment to hands-on learning, environmental stewardship and the celebration of our heritage. Generations of pupils have walked through its threshold, leaving behind footprints of joy, curiosity and discovery.

For many, spending a night in the Roundhouse has been a rite of passage - a cherished memory etched into the fabric of their school years. It's where friendships were cemented, stories were spun and dreams were nurtured under the starry canvas of the night sky.

But time, relentless in its passage, has taken its toll on our beloved Roundhouse. After fifteen years of faithful service, it now stands weathered, its timbers weary and its spirit longing for renewal. Yet, in the face of decay, we see an opportunity - to breathe new life into our cherished tradition, to honour the memories of the past and to pave the way for future generations.

That's why we've embarked on a journey - a journey to build a new Celtic Roundhouse that will stand as a beacon of hope, resilience and unity for years to come.

But... we need your help to make this dream a reality!

To those who wielded hammers, saws and sweat to build the Roundhouse of yesteryears, we call upon you to join us once more - to lend your expertise, your passion and your generosity to this noble cause. Your hands may have aged, but your spirit remains ever youthful, ever vibrant and ever eager to leave a lasting legacy for those who will follow in your footsteps.

To those who spent nights nestled within the embrace of the Roundhouse's ancient walls, we invite you to relive those moments - to rekindle the fire of nostalgia, to reminisce about the tales told in whispers and to pay homage to the bonds of friendship that were forged in the crucible of shared experiences.

Together, let us rally around the spirit of community, of camaraderie and of collective action. Let us breathe life into our shared vision of a new Roundhouse - one that will stand as a testament to the resilience of our school, the strength of our heritage and the boundless potential of our future.

With your support, we can turn dreams into reality, memories into monuments, and challenges into triumphs. Join us in writing the next chapter of The Prince of Wales School's legacy -a chapter filled with hope, unity and the unwavering spirit of possibility.

DONATE TODAY and be a part of something truly special - a legacy that will endure for generations to come.
