I've raised £10000 to give emergency relief to families in Kathmandu Nepal

Nepal is in crisis as covid 19 cases spread rapidly from India
In last few weeks 2 out of 5 people tested are positive, there has been a rapid increase in new cases and deaths. This is highly alarming in a low income country with an inadequate healthcare system and little help from the government. The health services which have a poor infrastructure have been overwhelmed, the hospitals are full, there is virtually no oxygen and to date only 1% of the population have been vaccinated.
Kathmandu is badly affected, the valley is densely populated and houses over 1million people. Kathmandu is in total lock down many people here are especially dependent on their daily wages, they are now in very high risk of hunger and health safety. They have no money for food or hygiene
RUWON Nepal is supporting these families in Kathmandu. Ruwon Nepal is distributing food and hygiene products to families who need it most.
We are distributing food packages (rice, lentils, oils, salt, beans, dry vegetables)
And hygiene products (soap, sanitisers, masks)
Please support whatever you can. Please keep families from starvation and help them stay safe. Every coin counts.
Ruwon Nepal is a women’s organisation based in Kathmandu that helps support women and children in Nepal.
